Peripherals Installation
3.1
Remove Cable Tunnel covers
Cable tunnels are located at 3 sides of
the POS system stand for running cables of the external peripherals such as a
barcode scanner.

Turn over the system carefully. Remove the cable
tunnel covers by loosening the screws. |
|
Run cables of external devices through the
tunnel after the covers are removed. |
3.2 Install
Bottom Base Cover
This cover serves to hide the peripheral
cables connected to the interface panel.

a.
Tilt the screen to the
horizontal level. Loosen the screw and remove the bottom base cover. |
|
 |
b.
Replace the bottom base cover
after all cables are connected well to the ports. |

c.
Tighten the screw to fix the
bottom base cover. |
3.3 Replace POS Terminal Hard Disk

a.
Loosen
the cover screw and remove the cover. |
|
 |
b.
Loosen
the spacer. |
|
 |
c.
Hold the hard disk and take it
out in the direction of the arrow. Then unplug it from the
connector. |
|
 |
d.
Loosen the 4 screws to remove
the hard disk from the bracket. |
|
 |
e.
Attach the bracket to the new
hard disk by tightening the screws. |
|
 |
f.
Plug the hard disk into the
connectors. Relocate the new hard disk by pushing the bracket’s
hangers into the apertures. |

g.
Tighten the spacer. |
|
 |
h.
Replace the cover and tighten
the screw. |
3.4 Install Touch Screen POS Second Display

 |
a.
Hold the second display and turn the system over carefully.
Pass the cord through the holes in the directions of the arrows.
Plug the cable into the VGA port and connect the extension power
cable. |

 |
b.
Tighten the bundled screws specified for the stand of the
second display to fix it to place. |
3.5 Install Customer Display

 |
a.
Pass the cord of the customer display through the holes in
the directions of the arrows. Plug the cable to a free COM port and
connect the extension power cable. |

 |
b.
Press the stand of the customer display into place. |
Note:
If the 9th pin of the RS-232 connector is power in, the device can be
powered directly via the COM port by jumper setting (see Section 2.3 I/O
Ports on page 4 “JP1: COM3, COM4, COM5 Port RI and Voltage Selection” in
Section 7.1 Jumper Settings on page 27).
Thus the extension power cable is not necessary.
