A. General Features
The Tysso
CCD-8x (with built-in decoder) models embedded the intelligent
decoding engine with advanced image correction algorithm to provide
error-free reading. Although it has more than one hundred
programmable parameters, but it is now (since Mar. 2005) able to
be programmed via host computer (soft-programmable). it also provides
changeable cable functionality to popular host in order to meet any
specific application requirements. It is known as a high quality and
performance but cheap barcode scanner on the global point-of-sale
market.

1. Reading enhancement
The Decoder is one of the most important
component among the bar code scanner parts. The Tysso decoder
engine accepts 33 - 200 scans per second scanning rate to perform
superior first hitting rate with error-free reading.
2. Fully Automatic Discrimination
The decoder discriminate all popular and
some special bar code symbologies
automatically such as following:
EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-A, UPC-E0/E1 (WPC with
add-on code 2+5), Code-39, Code-32, Code-35, Code-93, Code-128, Code-11,
Codabar/Nw7, Industrial 2 of 5, Interleaved 2 of 5, Matrix 2 of 5, China
Post 2 of 5, MSI/Plessey, UK/Plessey, Code-4, and Others upon requested.
There are different decoder versions which were written into WSI-311,
WSI-312, and AMIC chips. AMIC chip provides all codes listed
above. In addition, the New barcode decoder for
TS-Series Handheld barcode scanner
is now available to decode 2D linear
PDF417 and
RSS symbologies.
3. Image Correction Algorithm
On special request, the CCD-8x intelligent
models accept print tolerance distortion up to +/- 20%. it can easily
discriminate all bar code symbologies, even the label has been badly
printed.
4. Multiple Operation Modes
The CCD-8x intelligent models provide
several useful operation modes to meet any specific technical
requirement. Especially some of the operation modes allow user to
operate without pressing any button. (or called hands-free scanning)
Mode 1: Trigger On/Off, Mode 2: Trigger
On/Good Read Off, Mode 3: Trigger On/Good Read Off/Delay Time = ? Mode
4: Continuous/Trigger Off, Mode 5 : Continuous/LED Always On, Mode 6:
Continuous/No Trigger, Mode 7: Continuous/Testing, Mode 8:
Continuous/Trigger Off/Delay Timeout=?
5. Interchangeable Cable Functionality
The Tysso low cost CCD scanner provide easy
cable change method. a cost effective solutions to link a popular
host computer or terminals, the cable is changeable and can be easily
done by using a pin to push into the tiny button-releasing hole at the
bottom of the scanner, and pull the cable out once the RJ-45 connector
has been released by the above said operation as shown here.
6. Friendly and Flexible Programming
The embedded utility can help user to set
all necessary programming
parameters such as before/after data string (preamble/postamble)
and etc. to meet any input requirement of existing applications without
software modification.
