The
Handheld barcode reader is becoming a most low cost device of Point of Sale Peripherals nowadays. A CCD barcode reader works by illuminating visible red LEDs light onto a bar code and the CCD lens will then capture reflection and send to the photo sensor which works similar like a camera, CCD barcode scanner works very well on small bar code labels However, the disadvantage of CCD barcode scanners are that its reading performance reduced under strong illuminating environments such as outdoors usages, also the typical CCD barcode readers usually cannot compete with laser scanners' scan distance or so called "scan depth of field". The Handheld Laser bar code reader or "laser gun" work by output a laser beam across the left/right edges of a
barcode and decoding the reflected laser light as TTL signal on return to the laser scanner engine. Generally, Laser barcode scanner tends to be more expensive than CCD scanners. The Hands Free Scanning or "Auto Scan" function which allows operator to scan a barcode without click or push the scanner trigger, this function has become the basic and most important feature of most of the barcode readers on the market.
CCD bar code readers are among the key peripherals for process automation products. Contact-type CCD bar code readers must make physical contact with the surface of a bar code before scanning. In general, scanning is facilitated with the use of long-range, non-contact-type CCD sensors.
The development trend is toward non-contact-type readers. Fametech Inc., (Tysso) for instance, has introduced a
long-range CCD bar code reader, the TS-4500, which scans at a distance of between
10cm and 40cm from bar codes. The company aims to develop bar code and magnetic stripe readers for the Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) market. All our products are designed and manufactured in-house. In general,
laser scanners can read bar codes from a longer distance than CCD bar code readers. Some companies develop laser scanners for special applications and requirements such as warehouses. For instance, some industrial laser scanners such as Symbol P300PRO
can scan a barcode label from a distance of greater than three meters
Fametech Inc.(Tysso) has more than 12 years experience in OEM/ODM manufacturing of CCD and laser barcode scanners. We are able to design and manufacture custom versions of barcode modules as well as the barcode decoders for system integration purposes in different specifications depends on customer's needs. Tysso Barcode Scanners supports a wide range of PC, MAC, or special
POS systems ... All Tysso CCD and Laser hand held barcode scanners are integrated with RS-232, Keyboard, and USB interface, other custom connection options such as Wand, RJ-11, RJ-45, JST, and etc... are also available upon OEM requests. Further more, The decoder firmware of all Tysso Barcode Scanner Products are upgradeable via a piece of RS232 cable and the Win32 version of firmware upgrading utility. We also provide full technical supports such as free technician and factory assembler training for CKD or SKD business
All series of Tysso CCD or Laser Bar Code Scanners features high quality and durability and are comply with most of the world's common electronic safety/testing standards. The products will apply an 8 hours burning test before final packing.
